Hi! I'm Bryan. I picked up the name Binjali from a character I've played in an online game for nearly 10 years. I used it on my 2007 AT thru-hike attempt and will continue using it in 2015. It's pronounced similar to Bin-Jolly.
I'm a pharmacist, and have worked in hospitals for 22 years. I'm not done working yet, but I feel the need to reevaluate myself and my career. I've done this before; in 2007 I attempted a thru-hike after finishing my PharmD degree while holding a full-time job. That attempt ended after 1000 miles due to an injury and I've been wanting ever since to retry the Trail.
Carl Sandburg said once; “A man must find time for himself. Time is what we spend our lives with. If we are not careful we find others spending it for us. It is necessary now and then for a man to go away by himself and experience loneliness, to sit on a rock in the forest and ask of himself, ‘Who am I, and where have I been, and where am I going?'".
It is time again for me to find time for myself.
